Leading sports medicine surgeons in the U.S. and Europe are increasingly finding that the best and most appropriate care is provided where they are able to integrate research, practice, progressive training and new surgical techniques and materials. This “evidence-based” approach is increasingly the hallmark of leading sports medicine surgeons and it is recognized by discerning consumers as the ideal.
The Sports Medicine Excellence Group was created to form an international network of outstanding sports medicine surgeons and to make this network available to selected sports medicine surgeons in Europe. The Sports Medicine Excellence Group will initially focus on the areas of Europe where sports are the prevailing culture, i.e., the Austrian, Swiss, German and Italian Alps.
The Sports Medicine Excellence Group and its network will operate in accordance with the Sports Medicine Excellence Group's Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct.
